inghong City, 773 km. from Kunming, is the capital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. Both buses and airplanes are available from Kunming to take passengers there. The Yunjinghong, formerly called cheli, a term in the Dai language meaning Daybreak City, had been the capital of this region for generations, and is now also the seat of the prefecture government. It is one of the cities and towns of the county open to the outside world for tourism and trade. It is a place characterized by tropical scenery, rich and unique national customs and habits, and abundant fauna and flora resources that draw the attention of tourists in and out of China.

    The hotel/cruise accommodation is based on two persons sharing one standard twin room/cabin with private facilities in all relevant locations. If a single client requests a twin room/cabin alone, the single room/cabin supplement will be charged.
    For the land tour in each city, daily American breakfast is served in the hotel, and Chinese lunch and/or dinner will be served with two cups of soft drink outside the hotel. All meal arrangements are served as the itinerary specifies.

 Day01    Bangkok - Chiang Khong   ( OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL IN THAILAND) 

07.30     check in at   Bangkok  Suvanannbhoom 

09.20    fly from Bangkok to Chiang rai       by Nok  air 

10.35     Arrive  Chiang rai and transfer to have lunch at  Golden Triangle 

Visit   Chiangsean   and  transfer to CHiangkhong  overnight at Teak garden Resort 

Dinner  at  hotel 


Day 02 Chiang Khong – Lao – China-Mengla (L+D)

Sightseeing: Yeniudong Cave 
06.30hrs      Breakfast in the hotel. 

07.00 hrs. The tour starts off from Chiang Khong (Chiang Rai, Thailand) - the town  beside Mekong River and opposite the Laos town of Huay Xai. Proceed with the  immigration check and cross the Mekong River to Huay Xai, located opposite in  Laos by boat. On the R3A route, the tour reaches Boten – the border town  between Laos and China - around noon.

12.00 hrs. Lunch at a local restaurant

13.00 hrs. After that, transfer to Mohan immigration check-point and enter China’s  Xishuangbanna region. Proceed to Mengla County.

15:00 hrs Visit Yeniudong Cave (Baojiao Cattle Cave).

18.00 hrs.   Check-in at Mengla Jinxiu Hotel*** or similar. Dine at local restaurant and free  at leisure for night activities.

 

Day03  Mengla– Jinghong  (B+L+D)

Sightseeing: Menglun Tropical Botanical Garden, Dai Minority Garden, Ganlanba 
07.00hrs     Breakfast in the hotel.

09.00hrs Visit  Morning   Market  in Mengla County.

Drive to Menglun. Visit the Tropical Plant Research Institute, well-known as one of the richest botanical concentrations in the world and  the backsmith village  home of inest blacks mith works in this region 

12:00 hrs Lunch  at  local restaurant 
14.00 hrs. Amazed with Ganlanba villages where primitive live-style of the Dai is  enduringly preserving as if it is timeless. At the Dai Garden, the tourists can join in the water-splashing fun as the Dai re-enact their New Year celebration to  present their ethnic identity. A last visit in Galanba is made to the Dai temple for worship and making merit for good fortune. AND  VISIT  Wat Suthavad.

17.00 hrs. Visit the tea factory and relaxed in a free-of-charge foot spa service. This  factory processes the famous Pu-erh Tea and offers wide-range of herbal products such as the famous Bao Fu Ling.
18.00 hrs. Check in Golden Phoenix Hotel***
19:00hrs  Dinner in the local restaurant.

Day04  Jinghong (B+L+D)

Sightseeing: Mangting Park,Grand Temple of Jinghong
07.00hrs     Breakfast in the hotel.
09.00 hrs. Before reaching Wat Luang Muang Lue or Grand Temple of Jinghong, the  tour passes the longest hanging bridge in Yunnan province overlooking the Mekong River bustling trading activities. Arrive at Wat Luang Muang Lue. Acclaimed the largest temple in this region, is also home of the biggest standing Buddha making it another landmark of this city. 

10.30 hrs. Go to   Manting Park   by train , the former royal park holding history that dates back to around 1,300 years. When enter the garden, some historically meaningful attractions can be seen such as the famous bronze statue of Premier Zhou Enlai, two bodhi trees planted by Princess Galyani Vadhana of Thailand to symbolize the friendship of the two countries, and the Jinzhen Octagonal Pavilion. Behind the park, visit Jiebajie – the most important temple for Buddhists in Xishuangbanna to worship Buddha.
12.30 hrs.Visit the Jade shop or Knife Shop.
13.00 hrs  Lunch   at local restaurant 
15.00 hrs  Visit   Primeval Forest  by  Train and  visit many hilltribes villages  and enjoy to participate with  wedding party of  hillribes 

18.00 hrs Dinner  at  local restaurant. 
19.00 hrs Shopping  at  Walking street 
Stay at Golden Phoenix Hotel***


20.00 hrs Enjoy Dai  Classical dance show named MengbalaNaxi.
 

Day05  Jinghong – Mengla – Luang Namta – Huay Xai – Chiang Khong – Chiang Rai (B+L)

07.00 hrs. Breakfast at the hotel
08.00 hrs   Visit Thai Herbs shop
09.00 hrs. Depart for Mohan/Boten for custom and immigration clearance. Then  proceed to Luang Namta. 
12.00 hrs. Lunch en route at a local restaurant in Luang Namta
13.00 hrs.   Depart to Huay Xai.
16.00 hrs. Arrive Huay Xai for custom and immigration check and cross the Mekong  River to Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai - Thailand.

 

Day 06 Chiang Rai -Bankok

Take the train for flight back to Bangkok.
