Dali is an ancient city since Tang Dynasty, over 1000 years, some buildings still well maintained.Dali is not a huge place, surrounded by 19 mountains and a large lake.Pity is that there isn't direct flight from HK nor Shenzhen. The best way is to take flight to Kunming then take another half an hour domestic flight to Dali or flu to Lijiang from Shenzhen, then take a 3.5 hour ride to Dali. The club was opened at October 2005, and is the first golf club in Dali.
Dali Stone Mountain Golf Course features an international standard par 72, 18-hole golf course with 7,710 yards of fairway. There is also a 38-tee driving range with lights for evening driving. On top of that the Club also boasts an all-in-one Western style facility offering fine Chinese and Western dining. It also boasts an art gallery and a Pro Shop. Every detail of the Club exudes class and refinement. The Club’s comprehensive and professional service complements the nobility and prestige of the game of golf.
The perfect union of place and culture, Yunan Dali Stone Mountain Golf Club is the first-and currently the only-golf course in Dali. Situated to the right of Dali’s famous Three Pagodas and Chongsheng Temple , the Club faces Lake Erhai , with its back to the Cangshan Mountains . It is a few short minutes from Dali Ancient City and a 30 minute drive to Dali International Airport . The Club’s surroundings are characterized by stunning scenery and a pristine environment.
The course is built along the mountain with many elevation, doglegs and plenty of bunkers. Due to quite windy, the club filled the bunkers with some heavy grey sand. But dont get e wrong, it is not rock hard type and very acceptable.Take a look at this runway alike tee box, very amazing! The 18th Hole tee box is impressive with the nice view too.
Club Facilities and Services
The small temporary club house equipped with changing room, restaurant, proshop is originally the driving range, though small but neat and tidy.;the driving range is absolutely perfect with an excellent breath taking view. The restaurant only provides local food which might not fit most of us. But the staff's service is good.
