Menghuan Grand Golden Pagoda in Luxi City

Menghuan Grand Golden Pagoda was started from June 30, 2004 and completed in June, 2007. It is located at Leiya Rangshan Mountain, a height of 1079.6 meters in SE suburbia of Luxi, Dehong Prefecture. The high is 73 meters; diameter of the base is 50 meters. The whole frame is eight-square hollow stupa, opened with four gates. In the middle of the audience hall, circling the peak columns is four statues of Buddha made by natural white marble.

There are Sakyamuni in the east, Apothecary in the west, Kwan-yin in the south and Maitreya in the north. In the second and the third floor, it is exhibited the fresco and implement refer to Buddha’s whole life and teaching. There are 16 unique towers in the flat roof of the second, third floor respectively and 8 fancy vase towers were built in the upper flat roof.
