Nujiang Counties Travel Guide
Situated in the northwest of Yunnan Province, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture neighbors Lijiang City, Diqing and Dali prefectures in the east. It is also bordered by Tibet in the north and shares a boundary of nearly 450 kilometers (280 miles) with Burma in the west.
Lying in the longitudinal valley area of Hengduan Mountains in western Yunnan, Nujiang is made up of lofty mountains and roaring rivers, with more than forty peaks in the prefecture over 4,000 (13,123) meters high. Its terrain generally slopes downward from north to south. Other than a small area of flat land on the fringe of Nujiang, Lancang and Dulong rivers, mountainous regions constitute the main part of Nujiang.

The seat of the prefecture is Liuku Town, Lushui County.

Nujiang is one of the rivers within the Three Rivers Natural Reserve, a world heritage site listed by UNESCO. It is located throughout southwest Chinas Yunnan Province and flows into Myanmar, where it joins the Salween River and ends its journey at the India Ocean.
There is an entrance fee into the Bingzhongluo region of Y50. The collection gate is about 9km before the town itself. Immediately after the ticket booth are two beautiful Nu villages on each side of the river bank. To the east across the river (on a small but motorable bridge) is Chala 查腊. The village to the west is Shuangla 双拉. Both villages are spread out along the slopes of the hills, facing each other. The former is the bigger one and has a Catholic Church.
Dulongjiang, also Dulong River , originates from Tibet, flowing through the northwest corner of Yunnan then into Burma. Its Yunnan section is about 80km long, sandwiched by Mt. Dandanglika on the west and Mt. Gaoligong on the east. Amongst the lofty mountains bordering Tibet and Yunnan is the Dulong River Vallley, at the west slope of the north part of the Gaoligong Shan.

Gongshan Derung and Nu Autonomous County (贡山独龙族怒族自治县) is located in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan province, China.
Fugong County is located in the southwest border in Yunnan Province, northwest of the Hengduan Mountains of the Gaoligongshan Biluo snow-capped mountains and the middle between the Nujiang River Canyon. Weixi the east, the Lanping county, south Lu Shuixian , Gongshan County, north, west and adjacent to the Union of Myanmar, 142.218 km long borderline.
The Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Yunnan province, China. It lies within the watershed areas of the upper reaches of the Yangtze (Jinsha), Mekong (Lancang) and Salween (Nujiang) rivers, in the Yunnanese section of the Hengduan Mountains.
