Brief Introduction:
Gaogu Pavilion, originally named Fuyuan Pavilion, was built in the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty.

The Gaogu Pavilion in Yuxi cityGaogu Pavilion, originally named Fuyuan Pavilion, was built in the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. Since it was built, Yuxi began to appear more Jingshi (successful candidates in the highest imperial examination). Thus the Yuxi people have a great attachment to this building. The ballad goes: “Gaogu Pavilion is in my hometown Yuxi; it rises up into the sky; we go to worship it on the first day of the month and will not come back until the fifteenth. While looking up at it, I have history run into my mind.” It reflects the importance of the Gaogu Pavilion in people's heart.
