Yunnan Accommodation

There has been great progress in the development of hotel accommodation in Yunnan over the past years. By the end of April 1999, the eve of the ’99 Kunming International Horticultural Exposition, the whole province had boasted 250 star hotels of which one, Guanfang Hotel (Lijiang), was a five—star hotel, 5 (Kunming Hotel, Sakura Holiday Inn, King World Hotel, Golden Dragon Hotel and Green Lake Hotel) were four—star hotels, 35, including Camellia Hotel, Kingsun Hotel, Jinli Hotel, Baoshan Hotel, Honghe Hotel, Crown Hotel (Jinghong), and Fuhao Hotel (Ruili), were three—star hotels.

Meanwhile, there were more than 70 candidate star hotels of which 3 (The Westin Kunming, Harbour Plaza Kunmin, and Bank Hotel) were five—star hotels, 14, including Countyard ByMarriott Hotel, Horizon—Jianguo Hotel, Greenland Hotel, and Palace Hotel, were four—star hotels, 26, including Expo Garden Hotel and Lianyun Hotel, were three—star hotels and 31, two—star hotels.
