The History of Xinhua Village
Xinhua is a small village of just 1,200 families, located in the Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province, but it is known nationwide, thanks to a 1,200-year-old history of exquisite silver craftsmanship.Xinhua village is located in the northwest of Heqing county, at the foot of Fenghuang mountain. houses, folks, ethnic arts and crafts production are made of this Bai village. In the village, Heilong pond is in the crystal clear water, in which there are little of white Begonia and the ducks swim in sometimes. when the wind stops, the pond is very calm with the reflection of the surrounding landscape and blue sky and white clouds. With the change of seasons, Xinhua Village, shows different views just like a roll of painting that people can enjoy the unique charm of village and lakes in the plateau.
Xinhua Village has a long history, the ancient tea route passing through. And here still preserves ancient sites of the stone walls like "the ancient Great Wall" and stone village, whose history are a mystery and are not yet to be opened. Their national handicrafts are the unique in Yunnan province for its technology and the size of workshop.
