Valentine's Day of Yi Ethnic Minority in Lufeng County,Chuxiong

Each lunar 6 June sees the Yi ethnic members of Guangtong Town, Lufeng County, spend the traditional Yi ethnic Valentine's Day-which has a long history of at least 2,000 years, and has been celebrated annually since 2005. This special festival features old ethnic customs such as romance, marriage, friend-making, and even sacrificial ceremonies of the Yi ethnic group.
