Flights canceled affected by forthcoming typhoon

Eastern Airlines is to cancel its flights between Kunming and Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou after 2 pm on September 22, affected by the 19th super typhoon, "Usagi", issued by Eastern Airlines on September 21.

The typhoon "Usagi" is estimated to land in China from the coastal areas around Guangdong Province in the late night on September 22. It may bring about strong winds, and medium to heavy rains in Guangzhou, Shantou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Xiamen, Hong Kong and Macao.

Fights to be canceled on September 22 are MU5806/5733 (Kunming--Lijiang--Guangzhou), MU5757/5758 (Kunming--Shenzhen--Kunming), MU5763 (Kunming--Shenzhen), MU733/734 (Kunming--Hong Kong--Kunming). The Flight MU9734(Shenzhen--Kunming) and the Flight MU5740 (Guangzhou--Kunming) will be canceled on September 23.

The Eastern Airlines said they will assist passengers in endorsing or refunding tickets. The airline company will also pay close attention to the changing weather, and update the flight dynamics in time.
