Chinese Spring Festival holiday will come soon. Many Kunming citizens plan to go for outbound travel during festival holidays. Therefore, they are busy applying for passports lately.

The number of passport applicants is gradually rising, having forced a quick appearance of peak time for handling passports this year, according to Kunming Police Bureau.

To well suit the situation, Exit and Entry Department of Kunming Police Bureau has increased number of passport handling officers.

"In recent days, we have accepted around 800 citizens to apply for passports per day in front of our transaction windows, " a principal of the exit and entry department said.

"We hope applicants could receive their passports on the day they come to apply. So, we passport handlers rationally divide our works. Applicant reception, photo taking, form filling, information recording, passport making, all processes are cut into a short time to be finished. "

For passport applicants who do not receive their passports on the application day, Kunming Express Mail Service Company which has appointed workers in reception halls of the exit and entry department, will send passports to applicants' homes in later time.
