Yunnan Chessman, for the game of Go (Weiqi), was originally produced in ancient Yongchang (nowadays Baoshan) of Yunnan Province, hence is also called “Yongzi”. It is made of red lead powder and borax through metallurgy, founding and polishing. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, “Yongzi” was listed as one of tributes from Yunnan.
