Geographical location:

Honghe County is located in southern of Yunnan province, South Bank of the upper reaches of the Red River, under the Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous. It is located in the West of longitude 101 ° 49'-102 ° 37', between latitudes 23 ° 05'-23 °27', Yuanyang County to the East and South respectively and luchun County border, Shiping County, North across the Red River, West of Mojiang County of Simao city, connected to the North-West, Yuxi and Yuanjiang County. Maximum distance is 81 kms, maximum width is 40kms. 

Introduction:

Main residence in Honghe Hani, Yi, Dai, Yao, minorities, minority ethnic groups account for 94% of the total population of the County. Known as "River outside hometown, and dance of Xiang, and palm of Xiang" of name, County territory was a world HA Nepal terrace ,most of treasure China sub Ma dam million acres terrace;it has remarkable of HA Nepal Street banquet; National Geographic magazine selection out of China, most beauty of six big village town--big sheep Street; has State approved batch non-material culture heritage Aza, R. Xiang puchun of Hani has a second batch national non-material culture heritage of "Le for dance"; has world Shang unique of hani Yiche culture(哈尼奕车文化).
