Yuxi Climate

Tempered by the low latitude and moderate elevation, Yuxi has a mild subtropical highland climate (Köppen Cwb), with short, mild, dry winters, and warm, rainy summers. Frost may occur in winter but the days still generally warm up to around 17 °C (63 °F).
Wenshan Climate

The prefecture enjoys a plateau monsoon climate at low altitude having distributions of six climatic types, ranging from the north subtropical zone to the middle temperate zone. It has clear dry and humid seasons.
Zhaotong Climate

The city has a plateau monsoon climate. Due to the terrain, Zhaotong is sunny and warmer in the south region. The climate is capricious, ranging from the south's subtropical to the north's temperate.
Qujing Climate

Qujing enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate, and the weather of the city is temperate and pleasurable throughout the year. The average temperature in coldest January and hottest July are respectively 14 and 19 degree centigrade (57.2 and 66.2 degree Fahrenheit).
Chuxiong Climate

Chuxiong enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate with neither extreme heat nor cold. It has defined dry and wet seasons. May to October is the rainy season. The average annual temperature falls to around 15-21¡æ (59-69.8¨H).
Baoshan Climate

Due to the complex topography at low altitude in plateau, subtropical, temperate and plateau climatic types coexist in Baoshan. Its weather is moderate throughout the year, but the temperature varies greatly during a day.
